Please also be aware that, while any information you share with us during the preparation of your tax return is confidential , it is not protected from the IRS under advisor- client privilege. This legal privilege is limited to non-criminal tax matters under IRS investigation or in non-criminal tax proceedings before federal courts. Though we handle all client information with strict confidentially, standard tax return preparation does not fall under this protected category.
